Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée represent France's highest quality classification of wine. Hence, we selected the name AOC Wines to pay homage to the origin of the wine which we enjoy and represent.

In 1935, the French created AOC which refers to the French system of designating, controlling and protecting a geographic area. The term Appellation Contrôlée, as well as the name of the Appellation, must appear on the label of all AOC wines. Soil, grape varieties used, permissible yield, alcohol content, cultivation techniques and other variables are all officially regulated. 100% of the grapes used for an AOC wine must originate from the geographical area designated by the Institut National des Appellations d'Origine (I.N.A.O.) for that appellation.

AOC wines are those that are grown on specific land parcels based on the concept of terroir: a group of vineyards from the same region, belonging to a specific appellation, and sharing the same type of soil, weather conditions, grapes and wine making savoir-faire, which contribute to give its specific personality to the wine.
